Facial fat transfer, also known as fat grafting, is a cosmetic procedure that uses your own body fat to restore volume, contour facial features, and improve skin quality. The fat is harvested from areas like the abdomen or thighs, purified, and reinjected into areas of the face.
WHICH AREAS OF THE BODY ARE USED FOR FAT HARVESTING?
We typically remove fat from areas with excess volume such as the abdomen, flanks, or inner thighs. This has the added benefit of contouring the donor area.
WHAT AREAS OF THE FACE CAN BE TREATED?
Commonly treated areas include:

    WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE LIKE?
    The procedure is done under local anesthesia, meaning you’ll be awake but completely comfortable. It lasts approximately 2–3 hours, and includes fat removal, refinement, and injection into targeted facial areas.
    HOW MUCH FAT IS INJECTED?
    Fat is measured in cc (cubic centimeters). One session typically allows for up to 200cc of purified fat, which is enough to produce noticeable yet natural-looking enhancement.
    WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
    Most patients return to daily activities within 2 days. Some mild swelling and bruising may occur, but these resolve quickly. You’ll be prescribed antibiotics to use before and after the procedure for safety.

    Unlike dermal fillers, facial fat transfer offers long-lasting results. Once the transferred fat establishes a blood supply, it becomes a permanent part of your facial structure. Some fat is naturally reabsorbed, but the majority of results remain for years.
